So together lets create a more Flexible, Stronger, Resilient, Healthier, Calmer, Positive you.
My professional journey started when I qualified as an Group Exercise Instructor in 1996 and sprung forth into the Health & Fitness industry literally. I worked for many years as a Gym and Aerobics Instructor and part time as a Sports Massage Therapist. I have also been a successful Personal Trainer, and I continue my professional development within the industry I work in to keep up with changes, advancements and new technique's relating to Mind & Body Health. I teach only safe, effective and as much as possible evidence based exercise. When l completed a 2nd year Human Biology and Health Open University Course (SK220), my fascination with health and the ageing process then begun. I have studied under some of the leading figures in their own respective fields, I qualified as a PSI (level 4/postgraduate level) attending Salford university under Professor Dawn Skelton (Prof of Ageing and Health). More recently I trained as an iMoveFreely instructor allowing me to incorporate Intrinsic Bio-mechanics techniques into my classes, using techniques/exercises previously only available to elite athletes and Olympians.
I gained my City & Guilds 7307 Cert in teaching and moved into Adult Education, I tutored for the next 14 years developing and delivering successful courses for the Adult Education Department and WEA. I have also been a guest speaker at events and lectured on senior exercises. I am grateful to have found my purpose in life and finally achieved my dream of starting my own business omfitness Fit For Life -Exercise, Movement & Meditation, applying my own teaching style, personality and experience. I could not have accomplished this without the support of my husband and students and I would like to thank you all.
